Amen Jim!!!

Sad to see one driven to this point.

I believe if it was made and works on almost all computers out there, there is a way to fix problems I might run into on mine-which is about the same specs as the OP

You mean- it is me? lol. I will install it again soon as I get new system and when it crashes again, and I know it will, because it never fails, I will know that it is not me, sound cards, MIDI or type of music. It is IT.

I have owned every version of SONAR Producer and rarely had it crash. Some of the version you mentioned never crashed on me.

So, how have you uninstalled Sonar in the past? What were/are your exact steps?

What exactly is your system and specs and which version of Sonar are you having probs with?

I am sorryfor taking over the thread- I am not the original poster. I just felt- I could relate and myself was looking in to Apple products.

I usually would install Son 5 while S4 still installed. I think, I was using SP5 when 7 came. I installed 7, kept 5 and uninstalled 4 via "Add/Remove Program". I installed X1 and kept 8, when 2X was released, I uninstalled 8, kept X1 and installed 2x.

+1 on Sonar working great here.   Best of luck.   I had issues like this 12 years ago before Sonar days but seem to have a rock solid setup...BTW ...www.studiocat.com....they make amazing machines.   Just saying.

Well there's your problem straight away.

You've never edited the registry to remove the keys necessary for a successful reinstall.

As far as your system and probs, start another thread to help the others out with specs in the signature.

Your a veteran here (2005) so I believe you will get plenty of help either way
