This one stumps me. The Track Manager refuses to work in Console view for my latest project in X2. It works fine in track view, but if I try to invoke it in console view, nothing happens - that is to say, the Track Manager window does not appear. It doesn't matter whether I use the shortcut (H) or the menu item under "Strips". If I call it up in track view and elect to keep track and console views in sync (with the check box), it only partially works. A subset of tracks refuse to go away in Console view. The same thing happens in X1.

It seems fine on other projects. I tried rebooting and I even tried rebuilding the project from scratch in X2, but it keeps happening. (The project has lots of soft-synths, so that was kind of a pain to do).

Is there some secret setting or trick to get this to work that I don't know about?

I am having a very similar problem with Track Manager. It's behavior is erratic and gets worse when you use the H shortcut so it's difficult to describe but the various views and menus are not updating each other. Don't have a solution but thought you'd like to know you are not alone.

It would probably help if you used "Keep Track/Console visibility state in sync" option ;)

Definitely! I find goofiness without that checked. Not sure why it's an option if things hose up without it...

I did a little more investigating - I sorta had to to get my project back on its feet. It seems to be related to the use of instrument tracks and folders. I rebuilt the project again (agrhhh) and avoided using either of those features. So far, it seems to be behaving. I know some other folks have complained about instrument tracks and folders (separately) in the past. I don't recall exactly what their issues were, but I guess I won't be using them for now.

If anyone has any more info I, for one, would like to know - thanks!
