I'm the kind of guy that scours the negative comments on Amazon or wherever before buying something. Sure there's a lot of cranks but the thoughtful legit complaints always give me a good idea of what to watch out for.

I guess I look at the glass as half empty but I do it that way so I can figure out how to fill it to the top.

In truth, I do not rush right out and patch but there are enough that do, it is pretty clear within the day of release just how thrilling a patch will be. It might be different if this were my first SONAR patch party. X2a fixes a lot of issues and seems like a pretty good release.

That's another part of it I guess. I started out on X1d so basically this would be my first official patch with Sonar.

@twisted... I don't follow. The FX chain box can be yanked from the PC and dragged to the Multi Dock? I saw that thread earlier eluding to something like this but had no idea what was going on. Cheers.

Not the fx chain box but the individual effects that are in the box can't be saved to the multidock like you can with the effects in the fx bin.

Ah... I see. Thanks.

Now here's a weird question... is the AIM Assist line supposed to disappear when the cursor is over the timeline? I'd like it to be there when I'm setting loop points and other stuff.

Cheers.

It does disappear but remember that you can make selections for looping etc almost anywhere in the TV, you don't have to do it in the time line. Just make sure you make the initial click in the lower part if you are over a clip.

Thanks, Karl. I'll check it out. Been busy today but I'm hoping to fire up the DAW and keep poking around. I'm assuming that to do what you are saying I'd make a Range Select somewhere in the TV then activate the Loop button in the Transport Bar.

Cheers.

After range selection, instead of  hitting loop button you can press shift+L.

Thanks, jb. That'll go on my bindings list as well as in the yet to be created Looping section of my notes.

Cheers.
