I just did it to generate the missing plugins dialog to verify that I could see the CLSID of the unregistered DLL.

Just run "regsvr32 <name of dll>" to register your DX plugin.

In my case I would run:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins\Pantheon.dll"

(quotes necessary since "Program Files" contains a space character)

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins\Pantheon.dll"

In my case I did:

regsvr32 "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Plugins\Shared Plugins\Pantheon.dll"

The result was "registration succeeded", but my project still thinks the Pantheon plug is missing.  I notice that I have a Pantheon.chm file in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins" but no DLL.   I copied the DLL into that directory and registered again on the copied DLL.  Project still doesn't see the plugin after I have X1 rescan the failed plugins.

You might try just reinstalling it from an older version of Sonar. I know Lexicon Pantheon was still included up to Sonar 8. I don't remember if it was in 8.5. Just run the old Sonar installer and uncheck everything except Lexicon Pantheon Reverb in the Select Components page. I still have Sonar 8.3.1 PE and 8.5.3 PE installed and can use the Pantheon plug in X1a (64bit).

Running the scanner is pointless as its a VST scan.

direct X plugins have to be installed and registered. Copying dll files around the place doesn't work.

You best bet is to actually find which version of SONAR had the plugins you want and install them direct from disc. All versions of SONAR allow yoou to isolate as few as a single plugin for installation.

OK everyone.  Thanks for your responses.  I'll go dig out my old SONAR CDs and hope they don't overwrite what is installed by X1.

Thanks, DC, for reminding me I need to install X1a !  Thorne

Hi
I'm having the same problem with a Plugin called Piwarp.dll, from Prosoniq (who no longer sell it or provide support)

I am working in Sonar 8, and the plugin has vanished since last night. Cakewalk plugin manager does point to the file.

I tried:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Piwarp-dll\Piwarp.dll"

but I get the message:
The module regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Piwarp-dll\Piwarp.dll" was loaded but the entry-

point DllRegisterServer was not found.

Make sure that regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Piwarp-dll\Piwarp.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX

file and then try again

I was editing in Sonar 8, and the problem seems to have emerged since installing Sonar X2

I need to sort this as the plugin is used in every scene of a sc-fi audio drama I am producing, which as ever, has a deadline.

I should also add that the plugin is still showing and working in both Sony Vegas and Sony Sound Forge, and I can add it as a plugin in Vienna Ensemble Pro

Thanks in advance
