I could never figure out how to enter in bends on midi notes.

In the PRV...........

  1. Show the controller lane
  2. Click on the lane edit filter and select "New Value Type".
  3. From the MIDI event type window select "Wheel" from the "TYpe" choices
  4. Draw the controllers as required in the lane

Karl's explanation here is the easiest way to do it IMO...and

from my experience with drawing pitch bends...it's easier if you expand the controller lanes by clicking on the top of the controller lanes and dragging it up.  It will give you more space to work with.

Also...remember to end your pitch bend back in the "center" of the lane or the rest of your notes will be de-tuned.  The value indicator will show up as a black dot while drawing when you reach "0" or the center of the lane.

Pitch bends.

Even if you have input notes in step entry or input notes on the PRV I think you will find it easier to overdub the bends from a midi keyboard.

Legato

If you use step entry. set the note duration to  >100% the step size.
