OK thanks a lot Scook,

I hope I've added enough info to the sig.

That's a good start. You might want to add whether you are running 32bit or 64bit version of X1 Essential if you are running one or the other. Cannot assume it from the OS. If you are running both that is OK too. Did you get the links to X2 in your store account? If not, you may want to send email to http://www.cakewalk.com/About/csr.asp

Hi,

Thanks. I don't know what version of software (64 or 32 bit) I thought during the install process it matched to your OS. I looked in the Help > About Sonar, but it doesn't say which version.

Regarding Support:
They just sent me to the shopping cart page!!

I have already been there - that's where the problem occurs (see pic above) they don't read emails properly!

So I'm left going round in circles.

You could post in the E-Store forum, include the screenshot from message 16 and mention your email attempts. That forum is monitored by Customer Support.

WRT the SONAR version, in the "About" screen above the "Licensed To" there should be a line that shows the build number. The end of the build line will show x64 for 64bit versions. On a 64bit OS, the installer should give you an option to install the 32 or 64bit version.

Hi Scook, thanks I will post there too.

It just says Sonar X1 Essential (build 185)

I'm 99% certain I wasn't given the 32/64 bit options during installation. The only option I remember, was choosing the basic install over the custom one. Maybe the custom one included 32 and 64 bit options?

If so, I guess that means 32 bit version is the basic version

Yes, 32 bit. The 32bit SONAR X1 Essentials install in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Essentials" on a 64bit OS. FYI, it appears that you are not the only one that is having to wait for their X2 upgrade. Given the holiday it will probably be tomorrow before it gets fixed.

OK thanks a lot Scook.

I will choose Custom install when I upgrade to X2 so I can have the 64 bit version.

Thanks for your patience - Happy New Year!
