Travis, I have not been freezing any trax up to now.
So the synth tracks are the ones that use the most CPU if not frozen?
Does that make permanent changes?

Synths can take a lot of CPU (and memory) and freezing them will free up the resources that they take. You can always unfreeze them to make changes. Some effects can take a bit of CPU too, like certain ampsim settings. Archiving unused tracks is also a way to free up resources.

scook is right... softsynths on the front end are your resource hogs. Once the tracking is done, your plugins chew up resources next. Freezing is great....I like to FREEZE, drag and drop the "frozen" into an audio track.... UNFREEZE and keep working. Once you unfreeze, you can drag and drop the "midi" data into a blank midi track just to save for reference, if you will be changing the softsynth settings, just make notes to go back to :)
