Good thing my BMI isn't 30 then!  (It's 31.)

From the NIH website:

Although BMI can be used for most men and women, it does have some limits:

- It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build.

Once I weighed 225 with less than 6% body fat (which the BMI calculation says is still overweight).  Heck I even won a hard-body competition at a Red Onion entering as the "unknown" contestant and wearing a bag over my head - LOL.

When I was playing sports my nutritionist (a prior trainer for the Miami Dolphins) had my calorie intake at 5,600 per day to feed all of my muscle and high metabolism.  Then both knees wore out, my lower back had issues again and I blew out my rotator cuff all about the same time, so that was pretty much the end of sports for me.  Unfortunately, I didn't realize fast enough to slow down on my food intake and my six-pack turned into a nice pony keg!  Add that to the stress of losing everything and there you go!  I really only show the extra fat in my belly (like an NFL line man) and some around my neck.  Everywhere else looks good!  Oh well...
