I hope Softube resolve it soon too as I have a lot of songs that have console settings embedded when it was working, but at least now we know where the issue resides, looks like an issue with a console 1 update but apparently only one other customer effected yet I can reproduce fault on 3 PC's one of which never had Console 1 on it.
Can't wait to see my phone bill for calls to Sweden!

Update from Softube there are 2 possible reasons for flickering displays:
1) 2 Instances of Console 1 on a single track
2) Can also be caused by having multiple projects open at same time if console 1 is on more than one project

Did any of those relate to your issue?
I will try to replicate it later, if I remember.

Yup spotted 2 console 1's on same track but currently Console 1 has been removed from vst scan until they sort out my underlying issue as to why the console display is locking everything else out.

Mine also was 2 instances of console 1 on the same track.

Yes, teo instances on same track OR copying with cntrl will also cause it and then its hard to zero in and remove it,   Numerous ways to stop it:
1) Quit the console 1 on screen display from the taskbar icon and the flahsing should stop and remove the dup.  Then go to programs and restart the on screen display
2) Restart the project in safe mode (yes to all) seems to work and then delete the dup
