Steinberg is very fast. I will advise to check if there are all the VST instrument included. Two years ago I bought crossgrade version fro Pro Tools on Sweetwater and VST instruments were only TRIAL version.

I don't think there is a very special price for SPLAT user. Half price is very nice.
This crossgrade price is for SPLAT, ProTools ...
There is nothing more to expect.

In my case I don't need the vst plugins. I own the most plugins since years.
