  • Can't load Miroslav Philharmonik without crashing SONAR X2a

I keep trying this one with no luck. Older projects loading Miroslav would crash upon load, so I've had to load in safe mode and rework the projects to get work done for now.

Anyone know of a fix or a cause for this? IK's site has no recent updates to Miroslav Philharmonik and I've currently lost one of my most used virtual instruments.

Thanks for any help!

There is not much information here to help anyone suggest a soloution. Some basic questions.

Did you re-scan your VSTs after installing the X2a patch?
Can you insert an instance of Miroslav in a new project?
What version of windows are you using?
Is you Windows 32 ot 64 Bit?
Is your X2a 32 or 64 bit?
Was it working OK in Sonar X2 prior to updating to X2a?

Apologies on the lack of details. I am running Windows 7 and SONAR in 32-bit mode. Philharmonik was working in X2 prior to the upgrade to X2a.

No, I couldn't load a new instance, nor could I load an older project from X2, X1, or SONAR 5 that had Philharmonik loaded.

After reading through the suggestions, I remembered to check the simplest thing - running SONAR as admin. Since it was an upgrade to an existing program I didn't go back to recheck the option to run the program as administrator. But, the X2a patch did need to have that set again.

Problem solved... Thanks for your assistance and suggestions.

Run it as an admin and you should be ok. The IK plugs all need it.
