Here are some notes I made when I had trouble installing and authorizing Aether:

Run setup.exe as Admin or files will not be installed
Run Sonar as Admin when entering serial or serial will not be remembered

I'm on Win7. HTH.

Wow, running Sonar as an administrator to enter the Serial seemed to solve both problems that I was having. Thanks!

Err, Lexicon LXP is 64-bit...

http://www.lexiconpro.com/product.php?id=167#specs

No, they use the vague claim of "Software Compatbility." Alleged compatibility has nothing to do with whether it is a native 64-bit VST at all.

In fact, it's the vague kind of language developers use to hide the fact that they only have a 32-bit plugin that they happen to have successfully installed and observed not-crashing with a 64-bit OS / DAW.

Vienna Suite is all 64 bit.  Great plug-ins! Antares and Waves have disappointed with lack of 64bit versions, but still work around that with jbridge.

I'll also attest to the Lexicon LXP being very stable under BitBridge and also jBridge. One thing to remember is that the Lexicon native reverbs require the use of an iLok device, which many people have sworn off as pure evil. However, I personally haven't had any problems with mine's.

Here's a cool-sounding little reverb (Audio Damage Eos) that I recently picked-up secondhand on KVR forums. They just released a 64-bit native update to it. I had a few problems getting the new 64-bit version to show up in SONAR but their support was very helpful and I eventually got it working.

Breverb is 64bit too If I recall correctly...

@Corling.... what problems are you having using EWQL Spaces...   I'm really tempted to purchase it.

Update also posted at the top:

What I have now purchased due to suggestions in this thread:

2CAudio Aether -- unfortunately, after I bought this, it will not run stably in my current Sonar project. If I start a blank project I seem to be able to run one instance stably, but multiple instances cause my current project to crash.

EAReverb
After downloading the demo for this and finding the demo to operate beautifully, I purchased the full version. Unfortunately, the full version has a bug that causes it to distort the audio on my tracks (make it sound much lower). It is unusable.

------------
With Spaces, Aether and EAReverb failing, I've spent $750 in the past month looking for a Reverb VST that does not crash in my current Sonar Project or have debilitating bugs. Too many times, the demo works fine but then the actual version does not (e.g. EAReverb).

can't you use a compressor etc to bring up the audio if the problem is that it's just too low?

Sorry, I was not clear.

By making it much lower, I meant that EAReverb fundamentally frequency shifts the audio down -- as if I put a pitch shifter plugin on the track and set it to -12 semitones.

It is clearly a bug and I contacted their support people. It did not happen when I thoroughly tested the demo.
