Hi,

i have a regular installation of X2 but it doesn't seem to have the template for the mackie control universal in the list of available templates for control surfaces.
Looking around in the web it seems everyone is writing as if it should be there.
So my question is: how can I fix it? Where can I find the missing template for supporting Mackie Universal Controller in Sonar X2?
Is everyone else having it listed or it has to be found and added from some other source?

Thank you so much,
/Flavio

It should be there from a standard install. It's called "MackieControl".

Reinstall?

Thanks. Unfortunately is not there. I am not sure why. I will uninstall and re-install.... I hope it will fix it.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers and happy new year

Before you reinstall where are you looking for control surfaces support in X2?

Although I suppose the term template may apply the Mackie Control dll is not a template. You should find a list of supported CSs under preferences/ MIDI/ control/ surfaces. Than you need to select the tiny add button that looks like a yellow star at the top right. This will open a dialog box with drop down menus. The first one at the top is used to choose a CS type the others set the port.

These dlls should have been installed with your X2 install. I don't think you can avoid this.

Truly thanks. I feel a bit ashamed... i was looking in the wrong place. I was looking in the presets of the ACT Midi Controller -1, under Utilities... which now I understand it was related to the fact it was the dll defaulted in the midi control devices in the midi option section.

Thank you so much. Now I have it working!

Cheers!

Feel ashamed? Nonsense!  You should feel pleased for letting me be of some help. Its a bit like giving someone a gift by asking.
