I start the extraction process, it gets to part 4, and starts extracting then gives me an error says it can't find a file. I tried downloading part 4 again, but that did not help, any suggestions? Thanks,

Without details of the actual error it's difficult to suggest a solution.

Are you running the install "As Administrator"?

It still sounds like a corrupt download. At the bottom of this page http://www.cakewalk.com/s...tion_instructions.aspx are links to pages containing checksum information for each version of X2

I had a corrupted download once, also in part 4.  I just downloaded the whole thing again and it installed just fine.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid remark, but are you sure there's enough space on your disk ? Sonar is huge.

If you're using Internet Explorer as your browser, you should get the Free Download Manager program and it will ensure you get a clean download. If you're using Firefox or Chrome, the download manager is built-in. 

Well there's plenty of space on my music drive where I saved the install files. If it's trying to extract to "C" then no there's not. That's just a boot partition, and there's no where near enough room.

It is going to extract everything into the %TEMP% before installation. If %TEMP% is on your C: drive, that might be a problem. You can manually extract the setup.exe and bin files to any location with 7-zip or any tool that can extract files from self-extracting RAR archives and perform the installation without relying on %TEMP%.

I will try that when I get home.
