So I'm working on a fairly large project.  Audio tracks only and it's a live recording so no groove clips or loops.  It's a demo for a band around my area.   Anyway, I'm stumped.   I have a vocal clip that the automation has all of a sudden been locked out and every time I click a node it dumps me to loop construction.  I did something here but I have NO CLUE what i did to cause this...how do I get my automation back?   I have a green line  where the yellow volume automation was and it has diamond nodes as opposed to the circle nodes.....NO CLUE HERE  how do I get my track back and not go to loop construction?  I'm completely stumped!

Hi Paul,

Did you change the Edit Filter control on the track to the Automation type you want to edit? You can do that in the Track list pane, from the Tools HUD (press T or middle mouse button) or just Shift+Left Click on the envelope line to switch to automation editing for that particular envelope.

Thanks Scott, I'm not at home but what you're saying makes sense and may very well be what I have done.  While I'm not new to Sonar, I'm new to X1 and I like the changes but there's so much that HAS changed it's, difficult for us old timers to get into a new mindset

Yes, that's very true. When making the switch from an older version to X1 or X2, there are many changes and the entire workflow is different.
