The title pretty much says it all.  A new audio track is supposed to output to Master by default.  Lately, when I add new audio tracks, they default to the main outs instead of to Master.
 
Any ideas how this got screwed up?
 
This is not the worst problem in the world, but it is annoying and easy to overlook.  It is a major pain when inserting something like Session Drummer or EZ Drummer that has many outputs.

Maybe accidentally deleted the master bus one time. Right click on the master bus and check the option to "set as default." Might want to also make sure the project template is defined correctly too.

Right click on the Master Bus and select "Set As Default Bus.

Thanks for the fix suggestion and that will be easier than correcting every track.

Still, the Master should always be the default unless changed.  Wonder what happened....this is all projects—not just one.

could it be that you, by mistake, changed the default bus and replaced your favourite project template with this setting?

since it's happening to all projects maybe this could be a good place to start looking?

Don't forget to save the template after you set the default.  (I would think one would have to do so),
