I can't download X2A either.  Tried it with IE, with Firefox, and with a download manager plugged into IE.  With IE alone, the download never even starts.  With Firefox and the download manager, it starts, goes for a while at around 120-150 kps, then slows down to around 20 kps and usually hangs there, although sometimes it speeds back up to the earlier speeds for a while, then slows down and hangs.  I can do the "Pause" trick a few times to get it moving again, but the download totally fails after a few of those.  The most of the file I've been able to download is around 35%, I think.

I am pretty sure it is a problem with my ISP and DSL modem - both AT&T - because it hangs on all sorts of stuff, not just this.  I changed modems a couple of months ago, when my old ActionTec died.  At least with that one, although downloading was very slow, it still would complete when I used the download manager.  That's how I got X2 downloaded in the first place.  It was painfully slow, but worked.  Thank goodness I am not a power user who really needs the patch right away.  I think I can probably get the issue at least partially fixed in the next few weeks or so.  I can wait to get X2A until then, and knowing it's waiting for me will motivate me to deal with the download problem.

7 minutes here, and I've downloaded the whole thing twice for different machines. (quicker than copying onto memory stick and walking upstairs)
