One gave me a Readme, blah, blah, then, I got  another setupscreen, stating I must restart my computer for changes to take effect, would I like to restart now, or No-Restart later.  First screenset says  Sonar X2a Build 351x64, second one no clue, I'm freaked out, and I can promise you, I have a triple digit IQ. Not sure what to do with the animal downloads, not sure if I have half the things, I'm thinking I'm gonna get, but like the product too much, to make a fuss, so, take care of your people Cake!!!!

Could it be the other is the 32 bit version? Likely.

Well, the world din't end the other day, and I think you are going to be just fine.

Just a thought - perhaps you can add your system's memory to your signature specs.

OK, so for some reason a second install was running?  OK, so restart your computer and see what shows up.

If it did not install correctly, OR you are apprehensive about it, just do an uninstall and install X2 and the patch again.

I can assure you, there would be a BUNCH more griping here in the forum if folks couldn't get X2a installed.

Yep, I freaked a little sorry, it has 4 GB, and was running fine, until I opened a project from X1, but was working in X2, just not X2A! I've been here for not a long long time, but from GTP4, so I've added some patches, upgraded, quickfixed, added VSTS, so its not my ignorance, its the fact, some things, work flawlessly, which they should, and most of the time, forum is filled w/ ?s!!! Granted some are newbies, but I assure you, I know how to install a patch, but I don't think it's fair to have to uninstall, and reinstall, when following Cakes direction, can we agree on that, not trying to be smart-a$$, but this should be click and go!

I appreciate all the goodies lately, from Cake, just not in best health, and it gets me worked up, so I apologize again, just want 3 of 5 things to go right, that's all, Cake-Boy forever! Now I can't get any volume, or meter lights, same set-up for last couple years, I'll figure it out, just wanted to jam tonight, and not going to happen, scared of TH2 now! Anywho, thanks for the rant!

It's stuff like this that has made me put off updating to X2. Hopefully, soon you'll get it sorted out gray36!

Did you follow the instructions on rescanning VST's?

And, can you elaborate on your X2a issues?  Maybe one of us can sort it out for you.

Hmm. I've installed X2 on 3 different machines with absolutely no installation problems whatsoever.

However, I did read the all of the documentation before installing. This might have helped.

Had no problems with X2 from X1d expanded, from 8.5.3 to Sonar X1, and so on, all upgrades, and quickfixes, also fine! So it must be me, I'll figure it out, I did read the instructions, like on every one, because,, this "cat", ain't messing w/ reg., and that's what scares me, not ****ing as much as scared, I want to make music, and this little holiday break is shot, so sorry for my bad attitude!
Will work on it later, just hope all goes well, I really wanted the TH2 Content, but will wait, 'till I get squared away, sorry if I came off as a d!@k. Will start w/ fresh attitude, and see what happens! Sorry, and thanks!
