Downloaded quick enough.  Installed without flaw.  Opened up the last project I worked on today in X2qf, and I have a Silent Buses Detected headered box with all my tracks listed???  This is probably not a fix I presume.  They are not silent at all.  Also my Breverb does nothing...Any ideas?

You can't open old projects and expect them to work right in updates. You have to start totally new and record a new project from scratch to accurately test X2a update.

Where did that notion come from? I can tell you its not true. I have projects going back to Pro Audio (wrk) files that open and play fine in all later versions. Projects I created in X2 or X1 open and play fine. Some of them are complicated and use plugins that I don't use any more. All I do is find new replacements for those plugins.

I have gone through different audio and MIDI interfaces through the years and never has a project failed to open or play back as it was meant to. CW does a great job of having backward compatibility for all new versions.

Tonight for example I have been opening a lot of old projects to test X2a.

X2a loaded and running fine here so far. More testing to come.

The zoom on the PRV seems to be fixed
I like the look of the new Track Pane in the PRV
Pentagon now works

I'll have to retract the Pentagon comment. The vsti loads & runs perfectly on one rig but not on my main DAW. I get the Pentagon frame but the gui is just a white screen.

I only recently cleared out all older versions of Sonar, including registry entries and did a complete install of just Sonar X2 64 bit

If I then delete the synth, or just undo the insertion, Sonar crashes.

What gives here?

Updated from X1 today (purchased X2 a few weeks ago but was in the middle of a project and couldn't afford to change over. Damn, I should have. So far i'm impressed, it makes up for a few of the back steps i felt in X1 (at least for my workflow) I've even noticed lots of cool little details (for instance the parameters that appear at the bottom window when you click on a VST softsynth). Anyway. I know this is pretty simple wish but.... would be nice to have a label box in the envelope lanes. The description of the variable you're automating in that lane can be pretty cryptic, and there seems to be plenty of space in the box for one. (simple to ask for, not sure how simple to implement) X2b perhaps ?????

jgarland- did you reset vst paths as requested in the readme

goto- preferences- files-vsts and hit the reset to default button and then rescan

Yes. I did that first, as instructed. It was during the vst re-scan that the error messages for Drumagog & IK MM popped up.

Is X2a build 308?  After the update, I expected to see X2a somewhere.  Looking at my "help"/"about sonar" menu it states that my current file revision is 308 and still just says X2 Producer.  I just want to make sure the update happened.

Mine shows X2a build 351.

Problems here.

Installed X2a and it would not load Drumagog 4.11, said it couldn't find a file named "C:\Program Files (x86)\Drumagog40\Favorites.dat".

I found the file in a different location and moved it to where Sonar was looking for it. This time Drumagog was recognized but had defaulted to Demo mode.

I Re-installed Drumagog and re-activated it but it still showed up in Sonar as in Demo mode. I tried another install and activation and got the same results.

Also two IK multimedia plugs, CSR Hall reverb & Sampletank 2, were disabled by Sonar. I re-enabled CSR but the instant it loaded up Sonar crashed.

Gave up and restored the computer image I made before X2a was installed. All plugs then worked perfectly.

Very disappointed.

Anyone have Drumagog 4, IK CSR Hall reverb, or Sampletank 2 on your X2a update?

I'm curious to see if anyone else has run into this.
