I get a stuck condition on scanning Temper VST that I have to close.

Fixed it by redoing the Temper documents folder setup.

I posted this elsewhere but got no response, but I'm seeing erratic behaviour when I select "now time to end" and "now time to start". Frequently, but not always, the clip(s) do not highlight. Can someone else take a look?. Thanks, David

I am not having a problem highlighting clips and the Now Time seems to work fine, been playing with it for 10 minutes now. I can't seem to duplicate your issues.

Thanks Marcus. How do you select "now to end, start" etc? I use the Ctrl F9/F10 commands that have been in Cake since early DOS versions. I bind them so I don't need to change 20 years of habit. These worked fine in X1 but perhaps I need to change my method now. I see the F6 commands are now default. Thoughts?

this is the least of my problems; wave files that display as huge blocks http://snag.gy/pQ83Q.jpg no audio from wave files, not audio from vst's, no audio from the browser, old projects taking 5 minutes to open (no audio there either) and no communication with maschines sequencer (even if there was there would be no audio).

They still haven't fixed the stolen Keystrokes from U-He plugins when saving presets. Worked in 8.5, upgraded to X2, and suddenly I'm unable to give presets in DIVA any kind of reasonable name. Was really hoping that would have been fixed, or do the Cakewalk staffers just not use DIVA or any of the other U-he synths? Or perhaps they just don't roll their own presets.

Yes, this is disappointing.

However, I usually make presets outside the DAW - using savihost or one of the minihosts, so I don't mind this too much.

In TV the values on hold peak meters only partially display.
Also the now cursor seems to flicker / low definition.

Anyone else?

Just installed X2a and it totally trashed my Sonar install. X2 won't run anymore so I think it's restore time.

Sorry to hear of others troubles.

Update,going cool here!,especially the 160 something[I think?]"Perfect Space" IR files,very useful-thanks!

I was turning more to Breverb[stock producer version],as I was getting the "instant gratification" thing, but Perfect Space,is a highly underrated convolution reverb, even if it is still 32bit[using the bridge seems to hog more cpu,not that I have a clue why?].

Anyway,I was nicely surprised to find out about the update here,as I had not checked my mail lately, and yes download time,on Oz's Big Pond-100GB a month DSL deal[for me anyway],is frighteningly slow at times, though that pales in comparison,to up-loading to soundcloud[at least they accept .wav's]where a 70mb 16/44.1 .wav takes like almost 1/2 an hour![regardless of using Ethernet cable,or Wi-Fi-which Iv'e been told NOT to use,but doesn't seem to make ANY difference..odd?]

X2a doing alright,so far,and again Karl's[aka Fast Biker Boy]SWA X2 video is just what the proverbial doctor ordered @ $19.95!

To totally spin"off topic",Computer Music's issue:CM183[our LATEST!@ $19.95AUD-so you can see why I think Karls vid is SUCH a deal!]has a FREE "Sonimus Satson"64bit and all,and I was wondering if Anyone knows WHAT functionality,has been-slipped out the back door,if you know what I mean?,as it seems quite good,and the high/low pass,seem fairly respectable,especially for a seemingly rare-Free 64bit vst.

Any thoughts?,other than I should sometimes stay away, from newsagent stores here, where 3 month old magazines, are the norm as "Brand New"[if US/UK] ha ha.

Happy Camper here so far.
All the issues that others couldn't reproduce seem to be gone for me now.
Yeah! Thank You Cakewalk!

Well first I don't know what you mean by now time to end. I just click where I want the now time to go and just hit play. for testing purposes I just started to play around with the transport controls during playback. I also tried zooming during playback to see if the now time would jump around. I also tried hitting the double arrow buttons. I did not really use keyboard commands. I also expanded track folders and highlighted clips at a rapid pace to see if any of the clips refused to highlight or if they would take a few mouse clicks to highlight.

I did not have any trouble with the now time or highlighting clips. I guess I don't know what you mean or what you are trying to do when you say now time to start. I just tested for erratic behavior and had no issues. maybe you can give us more details about your issues and what exactly it is you want to do.
