I have been on this forum for many years and I can't recall a major patch receive so few complaints.

I think CW has done a great job here and they should be very pleased with their efforts. I have found they fixed stuff that was not a real issue but was an annoyance for me. Other things seem to be working better.

Needless to say I am a very happy user. I knew X2 was a great version but there were some problems. I'm not going to say they have banished all bugs but they sure have found and fixed quite a few.

One last point I can't recall an early patch being this complete in the past. I wonder what CW has lined up for the future.

Well said John!

I must admit that I was worried considering the major updates for Win 8 and touch sensitivity but, so far, this seems to be a trouble free major update that has included some fixes and additions for the Win 7 user.

Kind regards,
Rick

+1 John. I have been running tests since the update was released and this update is far better then X1a was. They did an outstanding job with this. This is one reason why I am a cakewalk customer. They seemed to address a lot of issues in this release. Maybe not everything, but they are making tremendous progress!

I've been thrilled with Cakewalk Sonar ever since HS6XL. SX2a is the best version, best DAW (IMHO) ever!! I think the Bakers did a fantastic job and deserve major Kudos.

Thanks for a truly great release Cakewalk.

Well, I can say I'm quite pleased. Program changes in the PRV are working fine now. I hope it was an easy one for the Dev's to fix. My thanks to them for all of the fixes and the new features!

I agree with the sentiment. So far all the (few) problems I've found have been missteps of my own making.

One of the reasons I use Sonar is that I like the tight bound with Windows. Not having to support multiple OS's and having a code base that has been stressed for so many years makes for a more a solid platform.

I agree.
X2a has not white screened once on me , even repeating gestures that did crash in x2 same projects etc. not only that everything seems to run much quicker and smoother. Even the 8 core meters seem to even themselves out a bit and that's win 7 64.

Surely x2a is the best daw on the market? The others seem far behind and even cubase 7 , a recent release has no where near the look and possibilities of x2a.

Well done cakers.

Oh it's absolutely marvellous.

Possibly the most exciting, incredible, stupendous, marvellous and incredible bit of software ever written in the whole 13.7 billion years since the Big Bang.

I'm so flushed with overwhelming excitement I think I may have just come in my pants.

Wow!!!!!!

What a majestic upgrade this really is.

Really.
