SONAR reports 1821 VSTs for me and I can say (almost) the same thing about ~1700 of them.

so now I decided to join and go for the (paid) upgrade to mixbus v3.3 ... installed fine, plug scan fine, seems to have come a long way since I last tried it ... one crash, though, when fiddling with Mackie control surface - need more time to understand and dig deeper

Wish they had a demo... No demo and no ability to purchase(sell) used.

The entire DAW is only $79. When I got on board it was because I have plug-ins that cost more and seldom get used. I figured, why not have a go. It won't match Sonar for features but it has a unique sound and feel that I've yet to find in other DAW's. I couldn't get on with Reaper or Studio 1, but Mixbus has been a lot of fun for 80 bucks.

I was just using Mixbus 3.3 to master a few tracks last night. Not one crash or hiccup. Faderport was working great with it. Happy customer here!
