There are two tools I've been thinking of adding to my toolkit. One is a Linear Phase EQ - Fab teaches how to multi-kicks or other instruments and use LP EQs to shape each track for processing - such as remove bottom to focus on adding sizzle to the high in one track, while removing the top to focus on shaping the bottom. He says LP is important and reduces phase issues that occur when you sum the multis. The second is a new Dynamic EQ because Melda has had too many issues for me.
 
I've just realized that Ozone has a Linear Phase mode (ie Digital) for EQ, and also sports Dynamic EQ. Seems like a good fit.
 
I can get the upgrade for a comfortable $99. The Advanced upgrade is $250. The only thing I'd like to have in Advances is the separate versions of each plugin. 
 
Question: Can you turn off the modules you don't want in the standard, so you aren't chewing up CPU cycles unnecessarily? I have a fast computer so I'm not overly concerned about it, but curious...

Ozone 7 includes a linear-phase EQ option, and the Advanced edition includes a dynamic EQ, as well as other cool goodies such as advanced metering and tape emulation. I loved it when I had it.

Looks like the Dynamic EQ is also in the Standard version:

Yes you can chose which modules to use...

If you own 2 Izotope products I'd look into the Music Production Bundle Upgrade

Thanks Larry - I only own Ozone 4 and 5 so I don't qualify for the bundle. That's OK, I don't need all the extras anyway...
 
You did just point out that the standard upgrade is cheaper through JRR: $89.10. Now that's a deal! :)

Believe me, just Advanced is well worth that money....the others are just Icing on the
Cake(walk)...

I had been drooling over Advanced for quite a while...and had resigned myself to
the FACT that I would NEVER be able to afford it, and, when they made the
6 upgrade and get free 7 I jumped on it.  Shortly afterward, they had this NEW bundle
for $249...and I got it for $209....and it was the best money I've spent in a long time.

O7A has not only the individual plugins, but also more advanced Algorithms for Mastering...
add to that the Nectar Production Suite, Insight (which is AWESOME), Alloy, and Trash with 2
expansions and it's a "Goldmine" IMO....YMMV

That's a lot of great stuff in the bundle! 
 
During your, eh um, absence in Decemberish I took some time off from buying (just a coincidence?). I've come back a little smarter and more reserved with my purchases (private school for my kids may be a factor too). :) I've got so much good stuff from UAD for mastering and I don't do much with vocals, so some of that would be lost on me.
 
I grabbed the 7 upgrade for $89 from JRR Shop (thanks for the tip). I may get the advanced in the future (or the bundle) but I feel I made a smart decision today. I actually bought just what I needed to solve two specific problems.

I didn't qualify for the bundle deal either, but I did upgrade from Ozone 5 standard to Ozone 7 Advanced back in March for $168.99 through AudioDeluxe.     Glad I did!     While I've only used it "for real" once so far, just having the separate modules was great.    Not to mention the UI changes, new Limiter algorithm and vintage modules.   

Talk to our Cake friend Zo. He's got a few of those bundles for $250 or so, without the necessity of pre-owning iZotope stuff. He's also selling over at KVR under his Jeezo handle. Send him a PM.
