I had a girlfriend that was the absolute Love of my Life back in the Day and That was our Song ...
She Dumped me and it took me almost the whole rest of my life to get over her ...
I knew I was making progress right around the 15 year mark when I was able to listen to that song again with out getting all misty eyed .... it's true

LOL!  Been there!  I had a friend coming over see my new home with his (then current) wife about 15 years ago and, knowing he was a fan of Classical music, I was randomly playing from a CD jukebox with over 200 Classical CD's in it.  Just as they were walking in it started to play one of the suites in Handel's Water Music and his face suddenly looked a little ill.  Turns out that was the exact music he and his previous wife had chosen to be played at their wedding!  Who knew?

How could anyone possibly know some deep dark secret like that about a song ?
The good news is the whole experience opened me up emotionally and much of my playing is based on expressing my joys and regrets in Life
