wow... I don't know if you were a baker how you could EVER anticipate all these GUI preferences...

I would like to add- please let us migrate our color preferences from all the Sonar versions before X1! Can't do it... and while we're discussing improvements, how about better video implementation and better media/file management.

I'm wanting to buy the upgrade from 8.3.1 and can't migrate so much of my workspace from 8.3.1... dang!

Global Save of screen sets. .. Screen sets are one of those new feature i don't use at all and I should but I find it ridiculously stupid to set up your components only to have to set them up again and again, and that whole load up another project just aint going to happen not for me at least,  Plus by the time I shift things where I want them I wasted to much time on nothing. Thats just my outlook . A global save would be awesome I can save Screen set as a console setting, one as editing, ect.. and have them labeled as such for easy recall.

AND I almost FORGOT!!! In the prv view BRING BACK tHE LAST COPIED NOTE LENGTH VIA MOUSE CLICK.

Hey, DJ - I understand what you mean by global screensets - That was a hot topic when we all started wrestling with X1.

But I don't know why the screensets I put together some months ago are steady, ready, and consistently working.  They're brought up with the computer keyboard #1 through 4 - Four is all I need.  I don't know why that's not working for you.

So I can make a few screen sets as I want and save them and recall them via the qwerty , and they will save as a Global settings, to be used from one project to another? just by hitting the 1-9 keys?.. did they do work to screen set in x1b? Like I said I dont use them just cause I had my system crash by choosing a screen set, and the fact that every project required me to shuffle windows around , which was time consuming .

1. Fully baked!!! I don't like meat uncooked and I don't like software half baked either.
2. Either separate FREEZE Synth - just the synth frozen and Freeze Track - freeze the audio and FX, or the ability to use Pro-channel on frozen tracks the way we have been able to re-enable and use sonitus EQ on frozen synth tracks in 8.53.  Synths are frozen during tracking to save RAM.  ( 6 broadway big band horns use 6 gigs of RAM just for the attacks) For some time now, we've been able to have all synths frozen first, then come back to mix and enable the EQ....  That's gone as of X1B! So now were supposed to bus all those tracks, or copy the audio to new audio tracks.  Phewy on you!
3. Metronome to work properly when clicking around the timeline when snap is off.
4. Higher midi resolution.
5. Metronome to be changed to eighth notes, 16ths, dotted 16ths, etc.
6. Metronome to be bouncable, freezable... (still might want to add pro channel to metronome after freeze though...)
7. Animated conductor window for following and animated conductor (mickey mouse, old dude, robot, Blogman...)
8. Recordable tap tempo for conducting the tempo with the space bar ( like finale, or like I do with my Wii-mote and Glove pie and my own personal tap tempo preset in Bome's midi translator)  Then we need nodes to be lassoable and movable like the midi control data.
9. 64 bit of Perfect Space and all other non 32 bit plugs...
10. the ability to create and use midi timers and translators within midi tracks such as with Bome's to be able to process midi translations offline in the fast bounces.  (Or maybe help Bome's be a fast bouncing midi plug in.
11. Midi notes to NOT drop out when using midi Quantize on a state of the art computer with the midi buffers as high as they go, running no audio fx at all.
12. STABILITY< STABILITY<STABILITY!!! Wait till next March if you have to..... Consumer needs to be able to trust the product out of the box.

        13. Ability to lock a midi clip in time, so as to edit or re-edit the tempo grid map around the midi clip. As if it were audio, but still being midi.
        14. Ability to assign key-switch search-back options, so as to be able to have keyswitches for Vienna, or Kontakt sent out based on the last keyswitch when skipping around the now time bar.

Yes, complete staff view editing. Yes, I will pay more money. I already have THOUSANDS invested, I should be able to enter notes, rests, time signatures etc in this program. Did I say I would pay more money?...otherwise, i love this program

Ability to open several consoles. E.g. select 10 tracks and open the console only with these tracks. Sorry for bad English.

I can't see myself getting X-anything until video support is improved.

Those two would be enough to wean me off 8.5.
