I am running Sonar X2 64Bit.
I installed the x32 plugins to, to use them in x32 hosts.

When running X2a patcher and I choose to update x32, I get the information dialog that the app itself isn't installed and cannot be updated.
Choosing x64 Updates sonar and the x64 Plugins.

How can I Update the x32 Plugins without the x32 App. Installed?

You don't need to, just install the x64 patch and bitbridge/jbridge will take care of loading any x32 plugs you have installed.

You misunderstood my question, I guess?

I want to Update the x32 plugs to use them in live x32 for example...

I haven't tried this, but I believe if you choose a 32-bit installation and then do a custom install, you should be able to just install the plug-ins without installing SONAR. Not entirely positive it will work, but if it's possible, I think that's the only way.

Oh wait... you mean from the X2a update? Don't know. You probably need to install SONAR 32. You may have to ask Cake.

That's what this post was for... Wrong place?

No, not wrong place, but not sure anyone will know other than Cake. I'm pretty sure you'll have to install SONAR 32-bit, because I don't see any other way to install the patch without SONAR itself installed.

As Scott says I'm sure just the plugs can be installed from the installer. Not sure what you mean by "update the x32 plugs"?

The x2a patch installer updates the sonar exe and some plugin dlls.
If you choose to patch the 64bit version, the x2a installer updates the sonar x64 exe and the x64 plugin dlls
If you choose to patch the 32bit version, the x2a installer updates the sonar x32 exe and the x32 plugin dlls

If I choose to patch the 32Bit version, I get the dialog thar sonar x32 is not installed and the x2a patch installer won't do anything, even though it could at least update the x32 plugin dlls.

I don't know but I would have thought that any x32 plugs installed as part of a x64 bit install would also be updated by the x64 patch as well if required.

I personally haven't had a 32bit install on my system since V7. AFAIK all of my x32 plugs are up to date, not that there's many nowadays most are 64 bit.
