It might be related to crashes when browsing audio in the browser. I reported that a long while ago so I'm hoping X2a fixes that which may well fix your problem.

No crashes browsing Dim Pro here (knock wood).
scook's recommendation is a good one when going through the patches.
I have the limiter in my default PC insert-audio-track, so it's there to turn on if I need it.  

A bunch of the patches are pretty loud tho - compared to their neighbor patches.
