Hello all,

WHen I stop playback one of my soft synths keeps holding on to notes until I hit the button to reset the audio.  It just started doing that.  It also holds notes within the playback until the next midi note is played.  Any idea what can cause this?

Thanks,

Greg

Go into Options>Project>MIDI In, check the box that says "Zero Controllers When Plays Stops", if it's not already checked.

Hello...Thanks for the suggestions. I looked and that box is already checked.  Any other thoughts?

What sound card are you using? What's your operating system?
Which version of LE are you using?

Roland Quad Capture...Using Sonar X1 LE that came with the Quad Capture. WIn7.....Using a Garritan VST.

What Driver Mode are you using for the Quad Capture? If you're not already using ASIO, go to the Roland or Cakewalk web site, download and install the latest drivers and change the driver mode to ASIO.

Greg,

Already did that when I installed it.  In fact, I didn't even use the CD that came in the box.  I am using the ASIO.

Thanks,
Greg

I've seen this happen before, but only in older versions of Sonar, and the cause was always when there were 2 Midi notes of the same pitch abutted right up against each other.

Inserting a tiny gap between the end of the first note and the beginning of the second note usually cured the problem
