I'm using ver. 8.5.3 with my Alesis Fusion 8HD. I keep hearing that kind of slight "flam" effect that you hear when 2 note events occur right on top of each other, or maybe when 1 event is being transmitted, and the other is incoming. So, while I'm going to post this on the Alesis site, but I want to make sure that I have all of my MIDI settings correct to prevent this phenom. I've been doing MIDI since '88, but I can't see what's causing this. Tanx, KC

You are hearing the doubled notes while you are playing live? If that is the case, make sure Local Control is OFF on your keyboard. Then only incoming midi will trigger the sounds from your keyboard.

That'd be my first guess, too. Although it's also possible the controller has problems such as dirty switch contacts under the keys causing them to bounce. That's much less likely, but I have seen it happen. Borrowing someone else's keyboard for a test would tell you.

The Local Control is exactly the 1st thing I checked. You'll have to pardon my slight "amnesia". I've been away from all of my noyz toyz for probably 2 yrs, and I'm slowly getting re-acclimated. It doesn't do it when I play back a sequence, only when I'm pressing a key with Sonar open.
