For those that have had problems receiving email announcements from Cakewalk, and for everyone in general...

Cakewalk offers a lot of the same announcements information via their blog postings, etc., and although emails are convenient because they are sent to us you can setup many email clients to be automatically notified when a new blog or announcement is posted, by using the RSS feeds.

The blog page has an RSS link which should help get you started:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/gridserver/XiBy

There are a number of newsreaders that are supported, but my preference is to have the announcements from here sent directly into my email client on my laptop (which happens to be a Mac, but you can do the same on a PC, etc.).  For me, I just enter the following into my email client and I receive every announcement as they are posted:
feed://feeds.feedburner.com/gridserver/XiBy?format=xml

This is the same information as the first link, but in an XML format that my email client parses and displays as separate email messages.

It'd be nice to always get the direct emails too, especially if they are above and beyond the blog postings, but this seems to be a good approach regardless...

Yeah, RSS feeds are very cool and useful. We've got one over at DigiFreq too...
