I can't slide the clip or do much of anything without the properties.  Where did that feature go.  Thanks

  In the track inspector. I can do all sorts of things without the properties. 

In the Inspector. Press I to show Inspector (if it's not already open). Then click the Clip tab at the top. Or in X2, you can now just press Shift+I
