I always export my files to a temporary director called "Exported Files" (duhh) it sets on my desktop so I know exactly where it is.

I open the exported files OUTSIDE of Sonar with WAVEPAD and do my trimming and other things. I save the file in it's wave form after the edits. I also use WAVEPAD to convert it to an MP3 at whatever resolution I need.

I then move the files to their appropriate longer term folders.

that's how I do it.

I'll have to give this a try with Goldwave and see how it works.  I don't need to do this very often, but occasionally.

I've been exporting the track, opening it in Goldwave and doing what I want to do, save the file and then import it back into a blank track.  With this I have the original track plus the Goldwave modified track.

You can edit Utilites Menu using my Duckbar utility. It looks like this: http://sonarmods.com/publ...lities-menu-editor.JPG

Would it be possible for you to post screencaps of the 4 strings details in the key for the editor you want to use?
