I like it.  All is good.  I would add another melodic section so that it breaks from the repetition of the verse.  Even just 1 bridge would add a lot.  Cool vibe.

Good song.  Enjoyed it.  As a country guy I like more concrete lyrics but for your style it's right on the money.  Keep up the good work

Must admit I hadn't picked up on the Floyd feel, but those comparisons are most welcome ty. Agreed on putting a bridge or lead somewhere, just waiting for the inspiration to hit. Fretless bass would be nice but I haven't played one for many years, it would take a monumental effort to get that up and running. Thanks everyone for the listen.

Nice playing by everyone.  I think the bass is what is driving the Pink Floyd feel.  I didn't hear it until about 3:30 but then it really gave me that vibe.  I like the whole performance and structure of it.  The mix sounded good on my system.  Great job, congrats!

If you're a bass player, you owe it to yourself and your craft to play a fretless... It took me a long time to pick it up? In fact, I took my fretless in and had them cut lines in the neck where the frets should be and do inlays? It cost a few bux, but it really helped me. And my bass they were cutting on started around 3k... A nice Warwick Thumb Bass. It was a fretless? And it still is, but if you look at it from more than 3 feet away, it looks fretted (it's not.) IMO as a bass player, once you get comfortable on the fretless, it's hard to go back. But it takes some real work to get there if you've always played with frets. Took me about 4 or 5 years, but I'm pretty comfortable with it now  Start "now" I don't pick up the fretted bass unless I have to (And it's an Alembic?)

Vocal could be a little less cloudy (IMO). Maybe a low cut @ ~300Hz?

That's a nit pick.

Sounds really good my end. Very emotional sounding. nicely sung. I feel the guitar is bright enough. love the swelling phase/flange going on.

Very pretty song.  Guitar plenty bright to me but that's usually up to the listener.  I could imagine another part in here to break the song up.  What is here is very nicely done.  Oh, vocals are very nice too.  I can hear the Floyd similarities but might not have thought of it if someone hadn't said it.  I might have gone towards Moody Blues.  I wouldn't be offended to be compared to either.  Good work.

If you're a bass player? Get a fretless and play it... No excuse... It takes "some time?" But not too much. Everything is the same, but your fingers become the frets. This gives you the options of quarter notes, half notes, slides, and vibratos that you do not have with a fretted bass. You don't have to have frets? Get a fretless and play it... You can get one reasonably priced, give it a try, and don't give up on it too quickly, you have to be more precise, but if you get it down? It's much more fulfilling, trust me. Sorry, but the shot to the nards should be felt, and should be uncomfortable.

It has a sound you just can't get with frets? It growls... It's the sound of the string vibrating against the neck of the bass? I play with flatwounds, they are more mellow in that regard. But you can play with roundwounds or more advisably "half wounds?" For a more edgy sound, it just makes for potentially more wear on the neck/"Not a" fretboard. But that would take many years of regular play. Trust me? Get a fretless... Get one? Get one this year, and play that thing... If you learn to play it? And it's not really too hard if you're a bass player, you will thank me. WHAPOW! Right in the balls... You don't want that? Get a fretless.
