Many thanks to Noel and all the bakers. I wish you all the best in the future. I've been with Cake since the TwelveTone days but the last few years with Sonar have seen my creativity and production jump by leaps and bounds in part due to the excellent product you have produced and improved upon. Also my thanks to the incredible community here.

All the best to the Bakers. All the best to you and your families. While we’ve lost a DAW, you guys are out of work and that’s never easy to deal with.

Been with CW since '97.  It was love at first sight.  I wish you guys the very best.  Hopefully you already have something new lined up.  Have the best T'day and Christmas you can.

Since before 1988, I was there with cake. The bakers, and those gone before this, have changed my musical life. I am just a home recording guy, used Sonar to refine my talents, and that is very personal. It was the Bakers talent that refined my rough edges and put the tools in my hands to do so. So to Noel B. and Greg H. (and all others I greatly appreciate)  my heart is thankful for all those years. I hope to see something of this outcome soon. I believe in this brotherhood, here you "all"  have been a VERY important aspect of my life. I will always be following the brotherhood of Sonarites. Change sucks, we will keep the bond.

All the best to you.

this kinda hurts.  I know this program inside out and have done so for over 20 years.  Made a good deal of money.  Learned audio recording inside and out.  The reason that I decided to get into Computer building, and eventually a second career in IT...But I guess that it has served me very well...
but EFF THAT... I DON'T want to learn another daw...I want my effing Cakewalk....

So upset here. I have been around since the twelve tone days. Gibson has been loosing money because of mismanagement on their guitar line. QC on their guitars is not existent, resell vaule sucks (look at the number of les Paul's on Craigslist). How about those automatic tuners nobody wanted. So what suffers, their one premier product, Cakewalk. I own a 175, SG and L5. I am done with Gibson. I am sure they could have sold the asset, but probably needed the write off for the loss. I hope those cakewalk guys leave and start something news. Kickstarter anyone. FU Gibson.
