I just wanted to echo the sentiments expressed already. Noel, you and the rest of the crew are a class act. I jumped onto the Cakewalk bandwagon way back in 1992, so you guys seem like another part of the family after that amount of time. Best wishes as you continue on your journey. And for my own selfish reasons, I hope that future includes bringing whatever is left of CW to a more trustworthy and deserving company. Kudos for all your hard work, and most of all thanks.
PS: For Gibson: you see that 77 Les Paul in my profile picture? I've been a customer of yours that long. That relationship ended today.

Noel and all,

I can't thank you guys enough. I used Sonar to get my M.M., composed more tunes into it than I can remember (and, yes, even more ideas that never became compositions), and it helped me to rehab after my heart attack/LVAD/heart transplant complex. I can't believe I've used Cakewalk since version 3 for DOS. You guys (clear back to Greg!) have always been gracious, patient, and kind. Thanks for that!

Besides Noel and the bakers, I'd like to thank Craig, Scook, and Chuckebaby (and others I'm probably stupidly forgetting right now) for the help and charity over the years. You guys are all the best.

I pray that anyone broadsided by this painful turn of events isn't affected for long. Along the lines of Craig's comment, while your Thanksgiving may be on the darker side, I pray your Christmas is very bright indeed with new prospects.

yes thanks to all the Cakewalk support people I have bugged over the years and good luck to you. With the programming skills you have, should be easy to integrate into another company I'd think.

How do I even just say "thanks" to Noel and the Cakewalk team, after all these many years of using the software, "thanks" just seems to fall short. It's been at the core of my musical creativity for decades. If I have to learn a new DAW, it will surely need to have some very high standards to live up to in comparison.

I too have been a semi-loyal user (sorry I slipped for a while) since the Win3.1 days. Thanks to the bakers for the good work you all have done!

I too hope some angel investor will see the value of CW and keep the band together  - as it were. Maybe Roland or Twelve Tone will pick it back up for a song.

As to Gibson, good luck in your bankruptcy and eventual slide into obsolescence.

God bless Noel and all the Cakewalk staff. Cakewalk has been my only DAW of choice and despite dabbling with Ableton, Reason, Reaper, Protools, Studio One etc I kept coming back to Cakewalk. I remember once after buying into the hype of Cubase Audio 5 (around 1999-2000) I took it back to the shop and in tears I begged my Cakewalk to forgive my infidelity and take me back lol. Seriously it's been a fantastic product. Not quite up there with the Logics of this world but still decent. Will continue to subscribe until I own the product and then I will sandbox it and use it as long as it works. Viva Le Cakewalk!

I wish the Bakers all the best in the future.
It's just sad.
As to Gibson/Phillips, they won't see anymore of my money.
