If anyone who works with Cakewalk should read this please PM me!

I have been trying to buy Sonar X2 upgrade for the last two days.

I emailed support but no answer. I am not ringing Boston as I live in Europe.

Thanks Steve.

Establish the fact you are trying to buy it.  Emailing support, or better sales, would be the way to do that if your Account doesn't do the trick.

Then, if you miss the sale (if there is one), you are protected.

The bakers haven't been around here much - this is peer to peer.  But maybe searching through the "official" messages up top will get you an email directly.

Sorry, that is all I got.

Hi Steve,

I just read your email. It looks like a unique situation so I'm reluctant to use our usual tools to merge records etc.

I'll make sure someone, if not myself, gets back to you today with a resolution.

Best regards,

Thanks AT.

Yes I have Sonar Producer 7. I had to get Cakewalk to change my serial number which they did after my old E-mail account was hacked. All my serial numbers were in that account.

Now that I want to upgrade my new serial number is not linked to my old account. Therefore I don't show up in upgrade path.

See the problem.

Anyway I wrote to them a couple of days ago but no answer.

I just wish they would answer their support E-mails a bit more promptly.

I want to get my Christmas purchases organised now.

Just saw your post Ryan. Thanks

I can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that I am a genuine customer.

I have several identifying pieces of information which include

The place where I bought it online. An American company as well.

I actually have the boxed version still in my possession.

The new serial number and all the correspondence between me and Cakewalk. I kept the messages inbox.

Anything else  you want for verification please ask me.

Stevethesearcherwiththelongstringofwordsinyourprofilename,  (sorry, couldn't resist)

Anyways, I had some weirdness a while back with Dim Pro serial/registration that just weren't lining up, and the Cakewalk folks worked with me until it was all resolved, so now that they are on the case - as you see through their posted reply above, I can tell you that from my direct experience with them that they will surely find a way to manually make whatever adjustments are needed to get you all squared away with the registrations and upgrades and such.

So hang in there, and all will soon be well for your upgrade - and welcome to X2 when you get it - it is wonderful.

Spooky..   Do you think it ever changes, regardless of how many times he posts?

On a more serious note, I hope you get this sorted soon, and can get on with enjoying X2.
