I was blasting this in my office and my assistant walked by and asked "who is that?" and I said it was done by a forum friend and I didn't know the signer. She said "wow- she's pretty good!". For reference, my assistant is a trained opera singer with an amazing set of pipes.

I said PIPES folks!

cool stuff Bapu - thanks for sharing!

The singer in my son's band is only 14 years old and sounds like she's much, much older. When people come and hear her they just refuse to believe how old she is = just an amazing talent and really nice person. To hear kids like that is just awesome.

Great singing! I didn't like SSD4, think these just sound too punchy for this tune. What's the reverb on vocal and did you use a de-esser? If so, which one?

Glad you mentioned the punchy drums because that is exactly what I was going for and the artist loved them.

Vocal Reverb is Relab's LX480 (a tweaked plate setting). Methinks it a classic killer reverb. Some swear by it and some swear at it.

No D-Essers were  harmed (or used) in this mix. I did use the Mixbus Vocal Character plug though.

The drums verb is from the Mixbus collection.
