Instead buying a new video card, I was actually thinking of getting a HDMI to DVI adapter ($5 dealeo) and hook them both up (since my graphics card does support a 2 monitor hook up).

Why do you think I shouldn't use this card for 2 monitor?

My ASUS is set up with the HDMI for a 17" laptop and the DVI for an old XP desktop. I really see no difference in quality.

And according to this article, the only real difference is HDMI's ability to carry audio, which you don't really need for this application.

Then again if you have to buy a cable or adapter.

Thanks Soens.......yeah, that's about the same thing I read also. I'll pick up the adapter tonight and try both plugged in my video card.

I finally got an adapter after calling a dozen local mom/pop shops (almost all didn't have it or it was expensive).......ended up getting it from Walmart.

Anyway, I just plugged it in and Win 10 took care of everything. It kept my Asus monitor at 1080 while added the new TV at 720p. Couldn't have been easier in setting it up......just plug n play.

Only issue is the 32" screen is on a higher shelf and not very ergonomic/nor good for my neck to use as a second monitor. It's great for watching TV from the bed though. Only one of these will fit on the desktop at eye level......

Pedro, now you can put your trust back in my graphic's card and also with the HDMI + DVI dual connections......you betta believe it bruddah!!
