I  paid for a 1 year subscription to Harrowsmith Magazine which started with Issue #1 1976. At the time they offered a lifetime subscription for only something like $50. I wasn't willing to take the risk. I ended up subscribing for the first 5 years which I guess cost me $100 or more.. I see they are still publishing 41 years later.
This is why I payed for Sonars lifetime offer with no regrets.
I actually do have shares in Apple. Gibson? I'll put my money on companies like Taylor but they don't play the market.

I guess I just find Craig's rebuttal a bit too light on actual info.

It would be really stupid to divulge the reasons for my optimism because they are NOT public knowledge, nor should they be.

If they stopped the updates now Id be thankful that for the last, um 19 years ( 1998 w/ Pro Audio 8) I've used the best recording platform IMO.

Right now Splat does more than I need and I rarely have to post here about an issue and even then its usually on my end. I bet I only use 1/3 of its features. You almost need nothing more to make a pretty great recording.

I signed up for the lifetime updates the day I got the offer. I haven't been disappointed. Didn't we just get some new plugins (I haven't even used em yet) that cost about the same as the lifetime updates?

I feel I've been given my moneys worth. The program does what it says it will do for me.

Note to self: if it smells "off", avoid it.

No matter what the so-called "experts" say.

Thanks pwalpwal.

Craig, anyone can only report on what happened in the past, nobody can look into the future. Obviously Moody's can be wrong too. But they don't give out projections for laughs, I think it's a little too easy to proclaim them conjecture and dismiss them out of hand. I also don't see how GC's troubles make the situation any better for Gibson.

I'm not too worried about Sonar either, but the report is still troubling.

I have worked in investment banking for almost 30 years.  Moody's is not known for the accuracy of forecasting.  In fact, since Moody's is principally concerned with Bond ratings, they tend to be conservative (as opposed to realistic) to illustrate the company's ability (or inability) to make principal and interest payments on their debt.  As long as that is good, there is no need for improving their outlook.

Sorry.

screw XM radio. that's the moral of the story.

LOL thats what I am saying!  No.  Does "anyone" know my options for getting back on updates to get the last updates? on version 22.70 build 41 2016.07?       Is it just the $250 rolling updates? Any thoughts?
