Any word or news on this?
It's occurred on several more projects since.

I see this sans quickfix. I reported it last night on here.

And is a show-stopper. No metering = no mixing.

I've encountered that as well - although with X1.  My workaround is to temporarily enable "echo through" (or whatever the option is that enables you to hear the audio as your playing it w/ effects or VSTs enabled, etc.. ) I only enable this momentarily, as it introduces latency - but it seems that just enabling this somehow reset that audio channel on that track - the meters jump for a second and they suddenly work.

Hope that helps.

Hi Folks,

I'd like to get to the bottom of this issue you are experiencing with metering. If anyone can reproduce it at will or can take a video screen capture of it happening, please do so and post on this thread.

There are a few conditions where metering will not display: 1. When a track is record armed, audio clips on the track will not meter, only the input will meter. 2. During count off, input metering does not display until the transport rolls.

Thank you for your help and patience.

I have no idea how to take video and post it. But I can say that both of those things were not taking place. Mine was after opening an X1 project to mix in X2. Simply pressed "Play" and a bunch of tracks had blanks meters until I stopped. Then the meters were locked at their last position (which was not seen during playback).

Same here. I had this from my first day with X2 (freezing meters in track view, not missing meters) and reported it to Cake and on these forums - at the time I seemed to be the only one seeing it as I bumped my thread a few times then let it die as other users obviously had bigger fish to fry.
I submitted my problem report at that point. I haven't been home to install the quick fix yet. (edit) - I considered that it may be video card related - however the console view and inspector meters work flawlessly - I see this on a project with a lot of tracks (but only 1 needs to be engaged) such that I scroll up and down in track view - easiest to see with a pad or something with a long lingering sound - the meter freezes depending on the scroll position of the track in track view -

FWIW I never experienced the PC missing module issue at all -

I didn't even get to a point where I could see any other bugs because no metering means I can't do anything productive. I'm back on X1 till a tested fix comes out.
Please excuse me if I sound like a whiner, I'm just being honest.

At first I thought it only happens in  projects created in X1 and pulled into X2 but it happened to me today in a new X2 project and it's not just on playback. This is a big problem.

Hey! I'm n ot crazy (this time)? ;-)

This happens on my (non-quickfix) Vista32 machine which is by spec, underpowered for X1 let alone X2... So I thought it was either that or my graphics card or some such... I even thought it was only certain track types at one point....

But as I plan to stop using that machine very soon, I've been busy on the replacement (building and setup) so I let it go for the time being...

Now I see that others are finding this as well... I should have spoken up... Sorry 'bout that.

I found that if I maximize the one track, the meter suddenly appears and works and if there's any signal showing when I un-zoom, the image gets frozen with the meter reading as it was at that moment. Doesn't work, but shows that moment...

I have not installed the quickfix as it didn't seem to apply to me here...
