Sorry John, I should elaborate,

The synth doesnt show as frozen, more .... Erm, disconnected, and I can't reinstantiate it. The freeze button appears pressed in but not blue. Does that make sense? I have occasionally seen this behaviour in my own projects where a synth mysteriously disconnects and I have to add a new instance and copy the midi to the new instance. 

I wish I could be more helpful but I haven't had any problems with bundles ever. 

  It does sound weird that Dim Pro is acting that way. I have projects that have the older Dim Pro in them and now the Dim Pro I have is the 1.5 version. Those projects open just fine. I really don't know what is causing this problem.  

There is one last thing you can do and that is create a new project and copy the MIDI and any audio into it.

You should be able to use the synth rack in the browser to insert Dim Pro there.  

 

Well, what I have done is ask him for the patches and I have inserted new instances. Everything works fine in both projects just as he programmed them. 

However, I don't want to do this every time he sends me a project. It's certainly weird.

I will get him to send me a new project with just one instance of dim pro in it and see what happens this time. Just incase there is something peculiar to those projects. 

So it seems the version of Dim Pro does make a difference. He was on 1.2 still and has now updated to 1.5. He's sent me a new project using 1.5 and all works as expected.

Ah... I finally remembered. There is an on/off switch for each synth in the synth rack, but it can only be seen when the synth rack is undocked. Not sure if this applicable, but this is handy thing to know if a synth ever shows up disabled for some reason.

I did know that as well, but had forgotten! 

however on this occasion the 1.5 update to Dim Pro sorted it.
