Howdy Y'all... Pentagon may have outlived its' usefulness. OTH: I like what it does. It cannot be used because the audio output just "goes away" after initiating and previewing a few presets... Here's some info: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2228251 http://forum.cakewalk.com...708401&mpage=1#2708401 It seems there are tech cases in progress ... or maybe not... In any case, Can ya help? Other than a few minor issues, SONAR X2 is helping me earn a living! Thanks!!! Roy

whenever you hit a preset with one of the valleys simulators loaded in (vista or later iirc) it will effectively kill the synth.  in the offending patch, change the valleys simulator to one of the others and all is *well*.  known issue.  only a handful of patches effected.

Pentagon simply, "Crashes Renoise."  Always, on startup of the plugin.  I have also had crashes in X1.

Shame: Because..   It looks like a might cool synth.

I find browsing patches in just about any plugin in Sonar X2 will lead to silence. Same as X1 and possibly before that. If only one device is giving you problems you should rejoice.

Grum.

Pentagon doesn't work at all on my system, I just get a blank GUI when inserting it.

This is on a completely clean install of X2

I use the dx to vst wrapper, jbridged the resulting vst to x64. Works well.

Hey Swamptooth,
Just moved from X2 on old laptop with Win7 32-bit to new laptop with Win7 64-bit.  Moved all my songs across but Pentagon now locks up on 2 songs that use a couple of the preset patches - they were working before, but now the meter goes to max and there's nothing you can do.
Could you clarify what you meant by the "valleys simulators" it? It sounds like it might help but you completely lost me dude!
Cheers
Simon

Pentagon has been a free download for some time. It pretty much defines the term abandonware. I would guess that fixing pentagon is about as low on the list of projects at Cakewalk as anything can get. The fact that it still works at all in some contemporary applications is the surprise.

I like Pentagon, it's great for stock sounds.

My understanding is that they're going to do some bug fixing.
