Just checked: I use the x64 DXi of pentagon, indeed, but as VST2 x64, cause I use other hosts which don't support dx plugs

Could you clarify what you meant by the "valleys simulators" it? It sounds like it might help but you completely lost me dude!
Cheers

The Simulators are effects built into Pentagon. Right under the Pentagon I logo you will see the simulator section. There are thee Valleys simulators that cause the burst of noise or silence depending on your system.

Some work arounds for this most common problem.

Create a track template with a limiter on the output of Pentagon to prevent the burst of noise being too loud.
As you discover presets with the Valley simulator, select another simulator setting or turn it off all together and re-save the preset.

You too Glyn - thanks, I appreciate the advice.

I might have a workaround for Pentagon. If you have X2 PE, Pentagon also comes in DX format. However DX format don't not work in 64 bit enviroment. This is a tread somewhere in CW forum that had talked about using a DX wrapper that wrap DX or DXi plugins and enable them to function in X2/X2 64bit. http://xlutop.com/buzz/zip/dxshell_v1.0.4b.zip This one is free. I had installed it in my X2 PE and Pentagon worked fine. I had tried for only 2 minutes. So, I can't give your a full and definate report. Best wishes.
