Hi Seth and Brandon,

Just want to thank all you guys for the videos, they just keep getting better. I really enjoyed seeing the real-world example in the Automation Envelopes video.

Kind regards,
Rick

I'm having trouble finding how to get features or modules. Everything seems organized according to product, which makes sense after you buy, but I can't figure out what software I need to buy in order to get my preferred modules. Some I figured out, like Audio Snap 2 is in Sonar X1 Studio, as is VVocal. But is there an Audio Snap in GTP4 or any other product before X1 Studio?

I went ahead and bought GTP4 because I just couldn't find answers. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have just waiting and saved up for studio. I couldn't even find out if X1 SE got me a break as a Sonar user or as "any cakewalk user." I just find it so difficult to find answers. When I do searches, I can find descriptions but not always which product I need to buy.

My composition technique since I'm not a drummer is to take my guitar riffs and tweak the drums timing from an existing MIDI loop, and with Audio Snap I can also use wave recordings, which is fantastic. I used to do this manually, so I really look forward to having that feature.

The only other thing I'd like to know is whether there are effects particular to vocals? I know that typically it's just reverb and maybe delay if they want something fancy, but if there are presets to help novice vocalists like me, that would be great.

1( Audio Snap, any version other than X1 Studio? I have X1 LE and GTP4

2( Effects presets for vocals?

3) And I almost forgot about Rapture LE. Isn't that included with X1 LE? I can't find it installed or to download.

Thanks.

I REALLY wish the Reference Guide could be made available as a printed version. It would be especially useful for me with the change to X1 as I'll be wanting to do some serious studying and it's a pain doing it on a screen. Yes, I've ordered Scott's 'Power' book but I'd also pay for a printed version of the Guide, and I'm sure a lot of others would. How about it Brandon

You can DL the PDF file and use Calibre to convert in into pretty much any format including .mobi for Kindle... or you can take print it out, use a hole punch, and put each chapter into its own folder. Actually that might be better that the compact "phonebook" format of earlier manuals. I think having it on the i-pad is a GREAT idea, better than the Kindle because of the screen being bigger... it is many more pages on the Kindle than it is in PDF... it gives new meaning to exhaustive. Obama's healthcare POS pales in comparison. Sorry I redact that poitical statement...

LOL ya I seen the page count at 1850 and about bought the farm, I was about ready to just start printing it out double sided as I have with EZDrummer,Superior 2.0, EZPlayer Pro, I even printed out manual for my Digitech GNX4 Guitar Workstation that had a quite large section on how to use Cakewalks Pro Tracks Plus.
But 1850 I don't even have enough paper in the house if I did double sided, be 925 pages then.
Not to mention unless I use teh Kodak AIO 3-1 printer It would cost me what about $70 in ink
