Do you mean the new OctaCapture? If your question is will X1 work with the OctaCapture, then yes it most certainly will.

Could you make these videos downloadable?

I have a dialup at home but am allowed the occasional download at work.
 
I also think other people might like to put them on their studio PCs so one can refer to them as and when needed.

It's really more of a hosting issue as the video files are huge. From what I've heard you can use Real Player or certain add-ons to Firefox to download streaming content.

there's flashgot which is an add on for Mozilla Firefox or Youtube Downloader. both are freeware.
