I need to double the speed of a ssslllooowww recording. I had an old mackie driver that was acting up when I recorded/mastered this and couldn't reverse-engineer it before updating the driver.  Specifically, the Onyx 400f was set at 96 and the software was thinking 48 (or vice versa - headache).

I'm guessing that the software won't do it and that I will have to use a 3rd party tool.

As an aside, Windows (98?) used to have one in their little player - I remember taking the excellent bill nye the science guy tune to half speed () and to double speed ().

So...ttthhhaaannnkkk yyyooouuu...

I forgot to mention:

I'm running Sonar Producer X1B build 242 on Windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks.

X1b eh?

I'd upgrade immediately, first to X1c, then X1d. X1b was know to be a bug-fest

This was long ago on CW Studio when it came out.  Driver prob far in rear view mirror.  System running fine for current projects but I'll upgrade soon.

But...I still want tool that'll just doublespeed this song and one or two others.  Don't want to play the 48/96 driver gotcha game ever again, ever.  Ever.

Ideas?

Thanks.
