I have sonar X2 producer running on windows 7 home 64bit and when I go to play back songs it works fine, but as soon as I press stop it crashes and goes into program not responding.  Anyone know how to fix it is driving me crazy.

Do you have the 308 Quickfix installed? And what interface and driver mode are you running?

yea its a new install, 308 quickfix no not installed and i have a focusrite saffire for hardware and driver mode is mme 32 bit

and i just tried the quickfix didn't change anything

Make sure you are writing 24 bit files, not 32 bit. Preferences Files... something like that.

yup im at 24 bit

Are any bit bridges running?

PS - I have found that the more 64bit plugs that I run and the fewer 32 bit plugs, the more stable X2 has become (and X1 for that matter).

Try a different driver mode. SONAR seems to like ASIO the best, but WDM should work as well. MME is very old has the worst latency.

Is it an internal drive? Any chance the flush to the drive is causing a problem?

changed driver mode to asio same issue and tried wdm but wouldnt support playback
