Not sure exactly what you mean by disable? Unless you enable the choice it always obeys the default for the clip type so is already "Disabled" as such.

Once you've changed it though there seems to be no "reset to default" other than changing it manually. If you really want it set to obey default just bounce the clip, that will reset it.

You can't disable that "button" at the top right end of clips. So, if you're clicking it by mistake sometimes, you'll have to be more careful where you click.

wow this is LAME makes it so hard to see your loops when you hit Ctrl L. another annoying things is selecting the tracks now i have to right Click instead of normal left click or i have to click on the little Piano icon. Just done get why they would change this ?

I agree on the right-click to select a clip.  That is I agree with you and dislike the change.  At least not without the option to switch it back.

I used to have a software app the would allow re-mapping of mouse behaviours in any target program.  I used it successfully to change scroll to become zoom (just like Vegas Video, so that my learned behaviour there was consistent with Sonar).  I wonder if I could make it remap right-click to left-click when selecting clips?  I might not be able to make it work so one specifically within Sonar.

On second thoughts, I'd just like to be able to choose which mouse actions work for me.

They go 5 steps forward and 8 steps back.

I'm not sure why you can't but I can assure you that left click selects a clip. AFAIK that can't be turned off. In the header of a clip the now time follows the click and in the body of a clip it doesn't. Are you using the smart tool?

If the clip has no header because it is either below the expanded threshold or you choose not to show headers then that split happens at the vertical mid-point. i.e. top half mimics the header, bottom half the body.

Right-click is for lassoing. As FBB said, you can still select clips with left click as long as you click in the right place. You don't have to click view button. Anywhere else on the clip header will work.

Also, you can still left-click and drag over clips to select specific regions if you don't want to select entire clips.
