Hello SONAR FORUM MEMBERS!   I want to provide you all the opportunity to hear a great CD I just completed by one of my projects, "The Unknown Origins",  using SONAR X3 now posted on Reverbnation!  There really is some great music here so please listen and hopefully enjoy!

The first 10 tracks on our Reverbnation site is the content of the CD (Let it Reign through Compared to What).  I have completed all 10 tracks, 8 originals and 2 covers using Sonar X3e, UAD, Waves and Soundtoys.  The covers are properly licensed.   I recorded  mixed and mastered the entire project.  I will also take producer credits as every mix choice was mine although I did get feedback not only from my band but also other "3rd party" friends including some folks from this forum so I will take the full accountability  regarding the recording quality, mix etc.     I also played drums on every track.   I utilized many cool techniques in Sonar and as always, many which I had learned or worked out through this great forum and the fine people here!  I also made use some of the virtual instruments and soft synths Sonar offers as well (I added extra keys to Peace of Mind and Dark to Light).  That said pretty much all of this was played by the band members with one track  ( Peace of Mind) utilizing the audiosnap capability of creating a midi file from transients from my brush and kick tracks that I then used to trigger a few samples.  Check it out and feedback is welcome and after many many many hours,  I am now "officially" done!!!

Listened to the first five tracks - everything sounds great!   I remember you posting songs here before and they all sounded very good so I'm not really surprised.   The mixes all sound right to me.

I like what you did on Peace on Mind BTW.   Hard to tell what's live and what's not but I think the "layered" effect works nicely.

Thanks!   It was fun working that Peace of Mind thing out.   I heard something in my head and it was awesome to be able to achieve it in Sonar using the tools it provided.   In the past I have posted earlier versions of some of these among others.  Feedback from here can be very valuable!   Thanks again SteveC!

These sound great! I remember really liking Dark to Light when you posted it earlier. Love the mixes and the vibe captured in the recordings. Nice drums as well!

Dan
