Thanks Eddie. I think I had downloaded the source files for their latest mixing contest, and that's how I got on their mailing list.

The new interface is a bit finicky, but overall I've found it stable. The videos do appear to be HD on the two machines I've tried them on. I'm using Chrome...

James.

Thanks for that tip.

I watched a few free vids and then I decided that right now my cheapest foray in was to outright buy the vid on reverb (the one where Fab showed Office, Plate and Hall on that Jazz piece). Really opened my mind, now I just need to find which of my plugs will accomplish the best "Office" as I'm pretty sure I have the plates and halls covered.

Of course there is no one size fits all and so the lesson is the technique not the "formula" of the plugs he used.

Bapu,

That video explained using reverbs better to me than anything else I've seen or read. It just "made sense" as he explained in. Glad you picked that one and had a good experience! :)

Fab is a gifted teacher.

Did you get the email about Fab's master class in May (in NYC)?

Too pricey for me. Air and hotel plus entrance fee would quickly approach $2K that I simply do not have (unless I make a sign that says "Brother can you spare $2K?" and sit on the corner in my old PJs and worn out slippers with a coffee can at my feet).

I so totally saw that and was DROOLING. This is the kind of stuff I would do if I really had some money - I don't need no stink'n yachts and fancy cars - I would love these kinds of experiences though!

I can't even imagine how much I could learn in just spending a few hours with the guy...
